This is a full purchase order management system, not just a PO tracking screen. It includes the capability to add actual purchase orders detail lines. Each time the PO changes an email is sent to the supplier. When the PO is ready for shipment, the purchaser will get an email notification. G-TRAC will keep an on going record as to what is still open and when each product has shipped. Suppliers can add invoice detail as well.
Imagine the ability to load the purchase order into G-TRAC at the time of issuance with an estimated ship date. The factory can update the status of the order in progress, even creating the shipping order that allows the overseas freight forwarder to add the cargo booking details such as the master air waybill or master bill of lading, triggering automated tracking features, when enabled and when the appropriate security criteria are met.
And the management of the purchase order can be executed at the PO level or at the SKU level and quantity.
